This roughly 100-mile loop takes you through some of the most beautiful and historic parts of our area, with plenty of stops for play, sniffs, and leg stretches.
Stop 1: Starting in Bartlesville, OK
Before you leave town, Bartlesville has a few spots to get your pet ready for the road:
• Play Time: Kick off the trip at the Osage Hills Bark Park. It's a great place for your dog to burn off some pre-drive energy in a secure, off-leash environment. It’s conveniently located near our dealership on Washington Blvd.
• Supplies: Need to restock on food, toys, or waste bags? Swing by Atwoods Ranch & Home on Highway 75 or Tractor Supply Co on Frank Phillips Blvd. Both carry a wide selection of pet supplies perfect for RV travel.
Stop 2: Osage Hills State Park (15-minute drive)
Heading south from Bartlesville on Highway 60 will bring you to one of Oklahoma’s premier outdoor destinations.
• The Vibe: Nestled in the rolling Osage Hills, this park is known for its rugged terrain, lush forests, and calm waters.
• Pet-Friendly Highlights: Pets are welcome on leashes up to 10 feet. While they aren't allowed in buildings or swimming areas, many of the hiking trails are open to them. The Lookout Tower Trail offers great views and is a manageable hike for most dogs.

• The Vibe: A charming town experiencing a renaissance, Pawhuska is famous for The Pioneer Woman Mercantile, the sweeping tallgrass prairies, and its rich history.
• Pet-Friendly Highlights: While pets aren't allowed inside The Merc itself, the outdoor seating area at the P+W Deli (next to The Mercantile) is often pet-friendly, allowing you to grab a bite while your pup relaxes by your feet. Walk down the main street and enjoy the historic architecture.
• Nearby Adventure: For a true taste of Oklahoma, drive just north of town to The Nature Conservancy's Joseph H. Williams Tallgrass Prairie Preserve. While it's a working preserve with free-roaming bison, pets are allowed in the visitor center area and on the designated Prairie Earth Trail (on a leash, keeping a safe distance from bison). Head north out of Pawhuska on Highway 123 for a scenic drive back toward Bartlesville. This route takes you through beautiful, open ranch land and provides a relaxing end to your loop.
